What is the Museum Bodies for Empathy?

It is a virtual platform that makes visible the Intangible Cultural Heritage of communities in situations of vulnerability and social disadvantage.
The Museo Cuerpos para la Empatía is a virtual platform that makes visible the Intangible Cultural Heritage of communities in situations of vulnerability and social disadvantage; while documenting their processes of collective creation, through the use of embodied and audiovisual languages. These processes entail respect for diversity and empathy as fundamental social values to promote a culture of reconciliation and peace.
It is a space for the recognition of cultural expressions as an exercise of Human Rights, with significant implications for the social and community bonds; as well the cornerstone for our four transversal lines of our work dealing with: body, heritage, interculturality and memory.
Lines of movement
The Museo Cuerpos para la Empatía proposes four lines of work upon which our different exhibitions are developed and structured, aligned with a broader objective of building individual and collective actions for reparation and reconciliation.

Body
The body is the first place for communication, it is the departing point of the world

Heritage
Heritage can be understood as cultural diversity, an essential trait of humanity.
